My reflections have been developed over a 2 decade career in packaging development in the retail, food and drink, and packaging industries.

I'm a Chartered Environmentalist, a Fellow of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, and a Diploma member of the Institute of Packaging.

My first degree was in Modern Languages and European Studies from the University of Salford, where I completed my dissertation on Electoral Volatility in Western Europe since 1945.

In 2023 I will complete the Senior Leader Apprenticeship programme, including a Master of Science degree in Management Practice from the University of Manchester. I developed Packing Up for Good as part of my evidence portfolio for the award of Chartered Manager from the Chartered Management Institute.

In my spare time I enjoy family walks with my partner Suzy, our son Franklin, and our miniature poodle, Teddy. I also enjoy woodcarving, allotmenteering, and playing the trumpet in Manchester's number one ska band, The Uplifters.
